Head to Myrtle Beach for the Fourth of July
California offers hundreds of nooks and crannies to explore over long weekends, but if you want to get away for the upcoming weekend and are looking for some great July 4th travel deals, how about a trip to Myrtle Beach?
Located on the coast of South Caroline, Myrtle Beach is known for its beautiful beaches, plentiful golfing, excellent seafood restaurants, outlet-style shopping activities, and family-friendly attractions, like Ripley’s Aquarium, the Carolina Opry and putt-putt – lots of putt-putt. In fact, Myrtle Beach has the dubious distinction of having more putt-putt courses per square miles than any other place on earth. It’s a place know for summer fun, and a little bit of kitsch.
It’s pretty easy to find cheap Myrtle Beach hotels. Though summer is high season, there’s always a deal to be had. It can be difficult finding a cheap ticket into Myrtle Beach though, so many people choose to fly into a larger nearby hub, like Atlanta and then drive. A rental car is pretty much a must in the area anyway, and it will allow you to see a few of the more relaxed and less-crowded beaches in the area.
